[Elite Dangerous] Expedition #3 (part 2) – Pleiades – Alien Ruins March 5, 2017 adminElite Dangerous Exploration Log Gaming No Comments Here’s Part 2 of my expedition to NGC 7822 – continuing on to the Pleiades and to take a look at the Guardian ruins! Just outside the California nebula, second planet of system. You can see the first planet closer to the star from here (about 10.7 ls away, the star is at 24 ls) NGC 1514, a planetary nebula (BD+30 623). California Nebula in the middle. I think the yellow thing on the left is actually NGC 5822. NGC 1514 – it’s all pretty and blue inside. Mel 22 Sector WO-A D5 3. Third planet is a very large ice world – 1.7G, 14.6 earth mass, 18715 km radius! And it has a big ring system. Mel 22 Sector WO-A D5 3. Panorama from within ring system. Pleiades panorama, taken from from Pleiades EL-Y D39 1 (one system out from Merope). Taygeta – Taygeta 6, a molten world with a Y Brown Dwarf companion (Taygeta 5) which has several moons – there was also a 2.9G high gravity world (Taygeta 7) that orbited that double-pair. Taygeta and the stars after this are the named stars of the Pleiades. Elektra – Elektra 2. Only had terrestrial worlds around it. Elektra is ‘behind’ the luminosity of the Pleiades as seen from Earth so you can see the nebula here. Alcyone was all on its own – no planets. Atlas only had an asteroid belt around it, but it did have a small K V companion star. This is the first planet, Atlas is the bright blue star in the distance on the right. Atlas B4 was an odd looking HMC with dark caps of solid rock and seas of molten lava around its equator. Celaeno 1 was a ringed lava world orbiting only 0.09 AU from the star. Didn’t find any cyclopean libraries in the ring, unfortunately. Asterope had no planets and two distant F and T Tauri companion stars. Sterope II also had no worlds and had a single distant F V companion star. Pleione did have several planets. It also had an Imperial Capital Ship, the INV Hall’s Memory. This is about as close as I dared get, they warned me off from getting too close! Another view of the Imperial Capital Ship at Pleione. I landed on Pleione 3 A, a kind of asteroidal moon that I hadn’t seen before, very battered and pockmarked. It orbited a huge ringed molten terrestrial HMC world which itself had a ringed terrestrial companion orbiting abpout 1.8 million km away (also seen here). There was also an Imperial Convoy Beacon near Pleione 11 A. I checked it out and saw an Imperial Cutter and its three Vulture escorts! Pleione 11 was an enormous molten terrestrial world – 21,861 km radius, 187 earth masses, 15.9G gravity, and 9 moons! Pleione 7 B rest stop. Orbiting a ringed T Dwarf. The Federation Farragut Capital ship FNS Hawke, stationed at Merope. Another view of the Federation Capital Ship. the barren plains of the subsolar point of Merope 5C. Somewhere on this world are the Barnacles that started it all! Found them! This one has intact meta-alloy spikes too! Close up of a ‘flowering’ spike. I may or may not have shot one up for science and got a meta-alloy out of it. The Spikes have an eerie glow in the dark. Back to civilisation at Maia – Obsidian Orbital! Leaving the Pleiades to check out the alien ruins found at Synuefe XR-H D11-102. HIP 19093 5 is a pre-garden HMC world ripe for terraforming! COL 285 DK-Q C5-13 AB2 – second of two water worlds orbiting a binary system. Synuefe XR-H D11-102 1B – I found the ruins! Flying over the ruins – main structure Flying over the ruins – side structure Obelisks! Made it back to back at Ray Gateway at Diaguandri! Related
